Job Summary:
Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a full-time Quality Technician for our Quality Team to support the quality requirements of incoming and outgoing material and products.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform inspections of materials, purchased parts, and internally made parts.
 - Document all inspections results using visual, dimensional methods and standards on company documentation forms.
 - Review specifications and drawings to understand the product requirements.
 - Reject incoming materials that fail to meet quality expectations and report the issue to the concerned department.
 - Communicate and help resolve quality-related issues while adhering to project deadlines.
 - Assist in developing inspection standards and processes.
 - Assist with the coordination of calibrated equipment.
 - Recommend improvement measures to processes to ensure quality control standards are met.
 - Generate Nonconformance Reports or Corrective Actions when required.
 - Assist with updates to the Quality Management System and participate in internal and external audits.
 - Work with multiple departments to support production and increase awareness of quality requirements.
 
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
- US Citizen
 - Proficiency and experience with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
 - Technical hands-on capability with attention to detail.
 - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
 - 3+ years of experience
 
Desired Skills/Experience:
- ISO 9001/AS 9100D
 - J-STD-001 and/or WHMA/IPC-A-620Machining experience
 - Experience with composites fabrication
 - Experience with aircraft avionics
 - Technical Writing: Build guides, schematics, wiring diagrams, reporting/reviewing, etc.
 - Experience with parts and inventory management
